Emily Kubincanek

Emily Kubincanek, MLIS, has a diverse background in library science and writing. Currently serving as a Nonfiction Reviewer for Library Journal since August 2022, Emily also holds the position of Library Program Coordinator at Carnegie of Homestead since September 2021. Previously, Emily worked as a Senior Contributing Writer for Film School Rejects and gained library experience as a Library Assistant at Heritage Public Library and Library Clerk at Brooke County Library. Additional roles include serving as an Audio/Visual Archives Student Worker at the University of Pittsburgh and various freelance writing positions. Emily earned a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Screenwriting from Point Park University.
