Carlos Alvarado

Carlos Alvarado is a Senior UX Designer and Product Owner at the Library of Congress, specializing in the Copyright Design System. With a focus on building accessible and user-centric components, Carlos has successfully increased the findability of records in the Copyright Public Records system and improved end-user conversion rates through user research and design iteration. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Maryland College Park, leading cross-departmental teams for library webpage redesigns to meet accessibility standards, and working as a Web Analytics Intern at Loyola Notre Dame Library, where Carlos implemented Google Analytics to enhance library projects. Educational credentials include a Master of Library & Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in History, both from the University of Maryland, as well as an Associate degree in Digital Media and Web Design from Montgomery College.
