Siobhan Cernugelj Hagan

Siobhan Cernugelj Hagan is a seasoned digital engagement and audiovisual preservation specialist with extensive experience in leading initiatives that enhance access to digital collections. Currently serving as a Digital Engagement Specialist at the Library of Congress, Siobhan spearheads the LOCal project to foster partnerships with public libraries. As the founder of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Moving Image Archive (MARMIA), Siobhan emphasizes the importance of preservation and access in the moving image field. Previous roles include managing the Audiovisual Media Preservation Initiative at the Smithsonian Institution and overseeing a national digital preservation grant project at DC Public Library. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video Production from Loyola Marymount University.
