Lamya El-jerbi has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and IT. Lamya started their career in 2010 as an Administrator Assistant at Halliburton. In 2012, they worked as a Summer Job at the Economic Information and Documentation Center. From 2013 to 2019, Lamya was involved with Hexa Connection, a Libyan technology NGO, where they held various roles including Member and Co-Founder, and also served as the Seedstars Director of Volunteers. In 2015, they worked as an IT Support at ARTTECH " Media and IT solutions". Lamya joined Libyan Spider in 2017 and has since then worked as a Salesperson and Web & Graphic Design Supervisor. Lamya has also worked as a Software Project Manager, managing projects for the Web and Applications Development department. Lamya has also been a TechWomen Fellow since 2020.

Lamya El-jerbi's education history begins in 2005 when they attended Tripoli High School (previously known as 7th of April) and specialized in engineering. From 2008 to 2010, they studied at Al-Tawasol University (previously known as Aisha Benneiran) and pursued a diploma in English. In the same period, they also enrolled at the University of Tripoli, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Engineering from 2008 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Lamya has obtained several certifications. In 2020, they acquired certifications in Change Management and Leadership and Team Development from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI). The following year, they participated in the 2020-2021 TechWomen Program. In 2022, Lamya completed various project management certifications from Google, including Foundations of Project Management, Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project, Project Planning: Putting It All Together, Project Execution: Running the Project, and Agile Project Management. Finally, in 2023, they obtained a Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design certification from Google and a Google Project Management Certificate from Coursera.
