Matilda Martin has a diverse range of work experiences. Matilda started their professional journey as an intern at PURDY HICKS GALLERY LIMITED in 2012, followed by an internship at SME London Ltd in 2014, where they gained client facing skills and learned to work in a team. In 2015, Matilda interned at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, researching material for a Globalisation and International Affairs course. Matilda continued their internship at the same organization in 2017, where they conducted research and wrote articles. Matilda also worked as an intern for The Independent, contributing to various news stories and having six of their articles published. In 2019, they joined Airtasker as a People Operations Associate, focusing on projects to improve employee engagement and retention. Matilda then freelanced as an Account Executive at Sticker Studios in 2020, managing post-production processes for a content series. Matilda'smost recent role was at Lick, where they held multiple positions, including Operations Executive, SEO and Content Associate, and Editorial Associate. Currently, Matilda serves as the Brand Manager and Editor of IGT Magazine at Lick.

Matilda Martin pursued their education in a chronological order, starting with their attendance at Cranleigh School from 2009 to 2014. Matilda completed their secondary education at this institution without a specified degree or field of study. Following their time at Cranleigh School, Matilda went on to pursue higher education at The University of Edinburgh from 2014 to 2018. During this period, they obtained a Master of Arts with Honours degree in English Literature, with a focus on British and Commonwealth literature. Matilda then took part in an International Exchange Program - Third Year Abroad at the University of Virginia from 2016 to 2017, where they continued their studies in English Literature. Additionally, in July 2020, Matilda earned an IPA Foundation Certificate from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
