Ege Yalcinbas, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Lieber Institute for Brain Development

Ege Yalcinbas, PhD began their professional career in 2014 as a Middle School Science Teacher for Student U. In 2013, they began working as a Research Assistant at the Duke-UNC Brain Imaging and Analysis Center, where they completed their undergraduate thesis under the mentorship of Dr. Michele T. Diaz. In 2015, they became a Neuroscience Graduate Student Researcher at UC San Diego, where they completed their dissertation in Dr. Christina M. Gremel's Lab. Additionally, they were a Course Instructor for UCSD Academic Connections in 2015. Currently, they are a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Dr. Kristen Maynard's group at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development.

Ege Yalcinbas obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with Distinction and an Education Minor from Duke University between 2011 and 2015. Subsequently, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from UC San Diego in 2022.
