Chief Advancement Officer at Lieber Institute for Brain Development

Geoff DeLizzio has had an extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Geoff is currently the Chief Advancement Officer at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development since April 2023. Prior to this, from September 2018 to April 2023, they served as the Chief Development Officer at the Epilepsy Foundation, overseeing development, marketing, and digital strategies.

Before that, Geoff held the position of Chief Development Officer at the American Red Cross National Capital Region from September 2016 to September 2018. Additionally, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the same organization from January 2014 to October 2016, where they supervised various program departments and managed finance, fleet, and IT operations, among other responsibilities.

Geoff's work experience also includes positions at Inova Health System, where they were the Senior Director of Inova Medical Group's primary care and OB/GYN division from September 2012 to December 2013. Geoff previously worked as the Director of Physician Outpatient Practices from August 2008 to September 2012, and as the Manager of the Community Health Division from August 2007 to August 2008.

Prior to these roles, Geoff served as the Executive Vice President at the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC) from September 2006 to June 2007, leading a team working at field clinics in various countries. Geoff also worked as an Assistant in the Office of the Managing Director at the Institute of International Finance from June 2004 to September 2006.

Geoff DeLizzio holds an MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School. In addition to their academic qualifications, Geoff has obtained certifications in Seizure First Aid from the Epilepsy Foundation and in CPR, First Aid, and AED from the American Red Cross.
