Gina Shim

Gina Shim has had a diverse work experience since 2018. After graduating high school, they worked as a private tutor, teaching subjects such as bookclub, SAT English, College level Statistics, Algebra, and Precalculus. In 2020, they gained research experience at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, where they designed mice behavioral experiments related to stress and exercise, as well as performing behavioral tests and analyzing the data. Gina also worked as a research assistant at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, participating in the Pitt Hopkins Syndrome project. In 2021, they became a teaching assistant at The Johns Hopkins University, assisting sections in courses such as Physics 1 for engineering majors and Physics 2 for engineering majors. Finally, in 2022, they began working as a medical scribe at OB/GYN and Orthopedics departments, recording electronic medical charts for doctors during their encounter with patients.

Gina Shim obtained their Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Cheong Shim International Academy in 2018. Additionally, they obtained a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association in May 2022.
