John Meyers has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. John began their career in 1988 as an Assistant Media Planner/Copywriter for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. John then moved on to Exchange Publications in 1991 as a Reporter. In 1992, they became an Information Technology Manager/Policy Analyst for the Washington International Energy Group. In 1995, they joined User Technology Associates as a Senior Intranet Developer/LAN Administrator. In 2000, they were hired as a Senior IT Specialist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics/OFO. In 2002, they became an Information Technology Manager for NIMH/CBDB. Finally, in 2011, they were appointed Director of Information Technology for the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, where they are responsible for the development of the Institute's IT framework, as well as its technology procedures and policies.
John Meyers received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Maryland.

The mission of the Lieber Institute for Brain Development (LIBD) is to translate the understanding of basic genetic and molecular mechanisms of schizophrenia and related developmental brain disorders into clinical advances that change the lives of affected individuals.
