Staff Scientist I, Data Science at Lieber Institute for Brain Development

Madhavi Tippani has had a diverse work experience over the past decade. In 2012, they were an Industrial Trainee at CARE Hospitals, Quality CARE India Limited, where they documented working, operation, cost, accessories, power requirements, lifetime of different medical equipment, and had hands-on experience on pulse oximeters, infusion pumps, BP machines, etc. In 2013, they were a Sales Executive at Aspirejobz.com. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington, where they performed frequency domain experiments using ISS machine (the 32 laser diode, 4 PMT detector Imagent system) under different controlled conditions to develop optimal probe geometry for real-time diagnosis of prostate cancer. During this time, they were also a Volunteer Laboratory Technologist at the same university. In 2015, they were a Research Assistant at UT Southwestern Medical Center. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Research Associate (Data Science Team) at Lieber Institute for Brain Development, where their primary work involved developing image and signal processing pipelines for different data sets from tissue sections and cell cultures, and developing analytical and statistical models that conditions for physiological, biological and environmental variabilities in experimental data. Since 2022, they have been a Staff Scientist I and Staff Scientist I, Data Science at the same institute.

Madhavi Tippani has a strong educational background, beginning with a Bachelors of Technology in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University from 2009 to 2013. Madhavi then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas from 2015 to 2016, followed by a Masters degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and Imaging from The University of Texas at Arlington from 2014 to 2016. In addition, Madhavi has obtained several certifications, including Introduction to Genomic Technologies from Coursera in 2020, The R Programming Environment from Coursera in 2019, Applied ISO 14971 Medical Device Risk Management from Udemy in 2017, Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, Python Data Structures from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, and Using Python to Access Web Data from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016.
