Šarūnas Bazaras

Šarūnas Bazaras currently serves as the Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting division and IFRS 17 project manager at Lietuvos draudimas, AB, since July 2020. Prior to this, Šarūnas worked at KPMG Lithuania from November 2012 to July 2020, where responsibilities included actuarial audit support, Solvency 2 projects, IFRS 17 training, and employee benefits valuation across multiple countries. Earlier experience includes a consultant role at PwC Lithuania, focusing on actuarial audit support and employee benefits for various Eastern European countries, and an internship at ERGO Life Insurance SE, where duties involved insurance contract administration. Šarūnas holds a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from VILNIUS TECH and a Bachelor's degree in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from Vilnius University, along with additional education from the Salzburg Institute of Actuarial Studies.
