Ida Sofie Jensen has a diverse work experience with various roles and positions in different organizations. Previously, they served as a Chairman of the Board and Vice Chairman of the Board at Tryghedsgruppen smba. Ida Sofie Jensen has also been involved as a Board Member in organizations like Tryg A/S, Hans Knudsen Instituttet erhvervsdrivende fond, Arator A/S, Copenhagen Coaching Center, Nordea Life & Pension Denmark, and Professionshøjskolen Metropol.

Ida Sofie Jensen has a diverse education history. In 1978-1984, they completed their Master of Political Science degree at Aarhus University, specializing in Politics, strategy, and economy. Throughout their career, they have attended various executive programs and courses to enhance their leadership and strategic skills. These include the INSEAD Executive Management Program in 2007-2008, the Columbia Business School Diploma in Business Excellence in 2012-2013, and the Singularity University Executive Program in Silicon Valley in 2016. Ida also participated in the INSEAD European Health Leadership Program in 2010, which focused on healthcare leadership. Some earlier qualifications include the KIOL course in Public Management at Danmarks Forvaltningshøjskole in 2001-2002 and the SIKU course on politics, strategy, and cooperation at Forsvarets eksterne kursus om strategi og politik in 2005-2006. In 2018, they attended the INSEAD Executive Board Program to further develop their board-level competencies.
