Wilbert Heijmans has worked in various roles in the events and exhibitions industry since 1997. Wilbert started their career as a Consultant at P-research (Priority Search Benelux BV) in 1997. Wilbert then moved to Jaarbeurs in 1999, where they worked as a Project Manager and Management trainee. In 2004, they joined VNU Exhibitions Asia as a Director and Senior Project Manager. Wilbert then moved to Deutsche Messe in 2007 as an Exhibition Director. In 2009, they joined Messe Frankfurt Middle East as Group Exhibitions Director. In 2020, they founded and became the CEO of Life After Me. Most recently, in 2021, they began lecturing at the Exhibition Management School.
Wilbert Heijmans obtained their Master of Arts (MA) in Business Economics and major in Marketing from Tilburg University between 1992 and 1997. Prior to that, they attended Sintermeerten from 1986 to 1992 and Ummer Clumme from 1980 to 1986. In October 2018, they also obtained a certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
