Alyssa Hennings

Chief Executive Officer at Life Connections

Alyssa Hennings, LMHC, began their work experience as an Intern at Anamosa State Penitentiary in 2012, where they provided input on inmates' behavior and helped create reentry and rehabilitation program recommendations. In 2012, they also worked as a Personal Assistant at Hills and Dales Child Development Center, creating nursing records and implementing performance plans for developmentally delayed individuals.

In 2013, Hennings joined Horizon's Family Service Alliance as a BHIS Counselor, working with client families to develop case plans and provide behavior management assistance to children with mental illness.

Since 2014, Hennings has been with Life Connections, initially serving as the CEO of Behavioral Health and then expanding their role to become the Chief Executive Officer. Alyssa oversees operations and continues to work with client families, creating case plans and individualized coping strategies for children and adults experiencing difficult circumstances.

Alyssa Hennings, LMHC, holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Loras College, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Alyssa also earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loras College from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology, General at the University of Northern Colorado from 2009 to 2010.
