Michele Gillis

Michele Gillis has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michele is currently working as an Accounting Coordinator at Life House since August 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Booking Concierge at the same company from January 2019 to April 2020, where they handled customer inquiries and provided operational support for booking and guest experiences.

Before joining Life House, Michele worked as an Ecommerce Manager at ITFactory.ca from September 2014 to December 2018. In this role, they were responsible for managing the B2C ecommerce business, developing the site strategy, and leading the ecommerce team. Michele also implemented a website redesign to enhance brand messaging and improve user conversion.

Earlier in their career, Michele worked in business development at Zapwerx from May 2010 to January 2017. Michele also gained administrative and receptionist experience at Jones Lang Lasalle Montreal from September 2013 to January 2014, and at Collins Barrow Montreal from April 2011 to April 2013.

In 2008, Michele worked as an Inside Sales Representative at Vaudreuil-Soulanges Gazette, where they trained new hires, managed client billing, and handled accounts receivable. Michele also served as an Assistant to the Director for the Young Canada Works program at The Greenwood Centre for Living History from May 2007 to September 2007, where they prepared the heritage house for tours, conducted historical tours, and updated the artifact database.

Michele Gillis began their education at Vanier College from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained an AEC in Audio Recording Technology. Michele then went on to attend Concordia University from 2009 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Linguistics. In 2016, they obtained a Full Stack Web Development Certification from Free Code Camp, specializing in Computer Software Engineering. Michele also holds additional certifications in Advanced Conversion Optimization from Simplilearn, obtained in December 2016, and in UX Design Techniques: Ideation from Lynda.com, obtained in September 2016.
