Laura McCallum

Laura McCallum is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in the healthcare and charity sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic Communications at LifeArc since August 2022, McCallum previously held roles at King's College London, including Head of Project Development and Senior Project Developer from March 2020 to August 2022. Prior to that, McCallum was the Senior Grant Communications Manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity from March 2016 to March 2020. Experience also includes a tenure at Cancer Research UK from February 2011 to March 2016, where McCallum advanced from Science Communications Officer to Senior Science Communications Manager. McCallum began their career as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at King's College London from October 2008 to February 2011. Academically, McCallum holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from King's College London and a Bachelor of Science (BSc)(Hons) from the University of Nottingham.
