David Ardley

David Ardley has over 37 years of experience in the IT industry. David began their career in 1983 as a Systems Programmer for Information Technology Limited (ITL). In 1985, they moved to the United States to work as a Software Specialist for Digital Equipment Corporation. In 1990, they joined J.P. Morgan as the Head of Datacentre Tools & Processes & EMEA DC Operations and EMEA Head of Datacentre Operations, where they managed a technology budget of $130M and a team of 58. In 2010, they were appointed Head of Global Infrastructure Tools, Data and Automation and Head of Global Automation & Database Management at Bank of America, where they directed a global team of 270 members and finalised the technical integration of XL & Catlin for legal day one. In 2014, they became Global Head of Infrastructure and Operations at XL Catlin, where they developed a digital app factory and digitized key applications. In 2018, they joined Genomics England as CTO and Head of Platforms, where they were responsible for the IT infrastructure for the UK Genomic process and a research platform for 3000 global users. In 2017, they became Technical Director at Inspire People. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Platform Director at Lifebit.

David Ardley attended the University of Essex from 1980 to 1983, where they earned a BSc Honors in Computer and Microprocessing Engineering.
