Sergio H. Ibarra

Sergio H. Ibarra has a diverse work experience in various healthcare organizations. From 2018 to present, they have worked at LifeGift as the Director of Organ Clinical Operations, overseeing the planning, development, and evaluation of clinical organ operations in the Southeast Region. Previously, they held the role of Manager of Clinical Operations in the same region.

Before joining LifeGift, Sergio worked as a Donation Clinical Specialist from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for the daily service delivery operations surrounding organ, tissue, and eye donation at a hospital. Sergio H. collaborated with medical, nursing, and other departments to ensure the success of educational and quality assurance programs related to donation.

In 2013, Sergio worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator/Project Manager at Colorectal Surgical Associates/South East Clinical Research Associates. In this role, they conducted subject screening, enrollment, and follow-up, as well as data entry and coordination of subject visits. Sergio H. also acted as a liaison between investigators, research staff, and IRBs, ensuring compliance with protocols.

Before that, Sergio served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Southeast Clinical Research Associates from 2013 to 2018, and as an Exam Doctor at Edward C. Murphy MD, P.A. from 2010 to 2013.

Sergio H. Ibarra holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree, which they earned from Med. School UAT Tampico/Texas Medical Center. Additionally, in March 2023, they obtained a certification in "How to Research and Write Using Generative AI Tools" from LinkedIn.
