Carrie Cangelosi

Carrie Cangelosi has a diverse work experience. Carrie started their career as an Americorps Volunteer at LifeLong Medical Care's Supportive Housing Program in 2002. Carrie then served as an Administrative/Data Coordinator at the same program from 2003 to 2005. After that, they worked as an MSW Intern at the Emergency Department of San Francisco General Hospital and later at the Center for Special Problems at the San Francisco Department of Mental Health. In 2007, they became a Behavioral Health Clinician and Medical Social Worker at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. Carrie joined California State University, East Bay in 2011 as an Instructor at the School of Social Work. In the same year, they independently worked as a Trainer. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeLong Medical Care, and then became the Psychosocial Services Manager until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Behavioral Health Operations Director at LifeLong Medical Care. Additionally, they have lectured at the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2020 as a member of the School of Social Welfare.

Carrie Cangelosi obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Albion College, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Carrie later pursued a Master of Social Welfare degree with a Health Concentration at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2005 to 2007. In 2010, they received their license as a Clinical Social Worker from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Additionally, in 2023, they obtained certifications as a Certified Empowered Relief Instructor from Stanford University and as a Certified UC Berkeley Sleep Therapist & Sleep Therapy Trainer from the University of California, Berkeley.
