Deborah Horton

Deborah Horton is an experienced healthcare professional and educator with a diverse background in nursing, first aid instruction, and community health. Since 2008, Ms. Horton has been involved with Above and Beyond Initiatives/Horton Education, providing certification in Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, and BLS programs through the Canadian Red Cross and Heart and Stroke. Additionally, Ms. Horton has served as a registered practical nurse at Lifemark Health Group and CarePartners, with experience in both community and clinic settings. Instructing CPR and First Aid for over 25 years, Ms. Horton has also held roles with various organizations, including the Canadian Red Cross and Rescue 7 Inc. Ms. Horton’s extensive educational background encompasses degrees in nursing, practical nursing, medical acupuncture, and paramedicine, alongside ongoing professional development.
