JC Choi

CFO at Liferay

JC Choi is the current CFO at Liferay. Prior to this, they served as a POA Board Member and Treasurer at Metro Centre from August 2016 to August 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the management and operation of the association's business affairs with a focus on protecting and enhancing property value.

From July 2008 to June 2013, JC Choi worked as a Vice President in Healthcare Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs. In this role, they served as a strategic/financial advisor and key coordinator for more than $10Bn in book-run financings and M&A transactions across sectors and geographies. Some of the notable deals they were involved in include the IPO of Genpact, the largest BPO company in India, and the $1.4Bn sale of CV Therapeutics aimed at portfolio diversification for Gilead, the leading anti-viral HIV franchise.

JC Choi is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Harvard College.

JC Choi attended The Wharton School for their MBA, focusing on finance and entrepreneurship. JC also participated in an exchange program to study at INSEAD in France. For their undergraduate degree, JC Choi studied mechanical engineering at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. In addition to their formal education, JC Choi has also completed certification programs in AI for Business from Wharton Online and Product Management Studio from UC Berkeley Executive Education. JC is also licensed as a real estate salesperson by the Bureau Of Real Estate.
