Stephanie Bakalar

Stephanie Bakalar is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Corporate Communications Manager and Lead Spokesperson at Lifesaving Society Ontario since September 2022. Previously, Stephanie held the position of Digital Specialist at York University, where responsibilities included managing social media strategy and content creation across institutional channels. Key achievements during tenure at the Town of Whitby involve developing a successful multi-year digital advertising strategy and the organization’s first social media strategy. Additional experience includes roles at Lifesaving Society Ontario, YMCA of Greater Toronto, Rogers Communications Inc., and various positions within the YMCA framework, showcasing a strong foundation in digital media, strategic communication, and management. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in History and English from Wilfrid Laurier University and a post-graduate diploma in Journalism and New Media from Sheridan College.
