Lauren Marek

Lauren Marek is a creative and thoughtful science communication professional with broad expertise that includes microbiology, immunology, and cancer pharmacology. Prior to joining LifeSci Advisors, Lauren was a Senior Account Manager at AlphaBioCom, a medical communications agency in Pennsylvania, where she oversaw communications accounts spanning multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, and hemophilia. Prior to that, she was a Scientific Strategy Consultant at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Cytokine Storm Treatment and Laboratory, and a Post-Doctoral Research Scholar at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Lauren received a PhD in biomedical sciences (pharmacology) from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, a Master of Science (microbiology and immunology) and a Bachelor of Science (microbiology, cum laude, with a minor in music) from the University of Rochester.
