David Allen has worked in a variety of roles in the corporate world since 1986. David began their career at PwC as a staff-level employee, eventually rising to the position of Vice President - Corporate Development (strategic alliances, M&A - Chairman's office). During their 13+ years at the company, they closed over 30 M&A and financing transactions totaling over $2 billion. In 2001, they joined ConnectSouth Communications as Vice President - Strategy and Business Development, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Later that same year, they were appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at ipGen, Inc, where they were responsible for building out the company's financial infrastructure and helping to drive an evolution from an outsourcing services provider into a services and software products organization. In 2009, they were appointed President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Snelling, where they provided outsourced talent management solutions, flexible staffing, temp to perm, direct hire and related human resource solutions to middle market and Fortune 500 firms. From 2014-2016, they served as Member of Board of Directors at BG Staffing and Chief Financial Officer at Smart Start, Inc. During their tenure at Smart Start, they partnered with the Board, CEO and executive leadership team to achieve the company's strategic objectives. Since 2022, they have been Chief Financial Officer at LifeScience Logistics. Additionally, from 2015-2016, they were involved in private investments at Peterson Investments, pursuing multiple transaction opportunities from opportunity sourcing to closing.
David Allen attended The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth from 1991 to 1993, where they earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to that, they attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a BBA in Accounting and Computer Science.
