Mike T.

Mike T. has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Mike started their career at Assurant Health in 2005 as the Vice President John Alden Group Actuary, where they focused on actuarial pricing and forecasting for the small group line of business. In this role, they increased profitability by 33% and improved renewal loss ratios.

Mike then moved on to Assurant Health as the Vice President Network and Sales Analysis in 2007, where they supervised a team and actively brought in a national network that represented over 27% of new sales.

In 2008, Mike T. became the Vice President of Group Markets at Assurant Health, where they managed small group self-funded products and oversaw projects across all small group products. Mike also played a key role in increasing sales by 36% through underwriting, marketing, and sales campaign improvements.

After that, Mike T. took on the role of Vice President of Individual Brokerage Markets at Assurant Health, where they led strategic and tactical initiatives for the brokerage distribution channels of the individual medical product line. Mike launched a successful decreasing deductible product and negotiated a longer-term contract with a national partner.

In 2011, Mike T. joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan as the Director of Performance Sustainability, managing the profit and losses of the individual business. Mike handled strategic and tactical initiatives, forecasting, and informatics for the individual medical product line.

Currently, Mike T. is the Vice President of Finance at LifeSecure Insurance Company, where they oversee the company's financial functions, develops initiatives and plans to meet financial goals, and leads the Actuarial, Risk Management, and Financial Forecasting and Reporting departments.

Mike T. attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
