Sharmila Shahul has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2015. sharmila began their career as a Graduate Student at Kumaraguru College of Technology in 2015. In 2016, they worked as an Internship Trainee at Siemens and an Intern at SYNETICS AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED. sharmila also worked as a Public Relations Specialist at Varnam Club of KCT in 2017. In the same year, they were also a Team Lead-Growth and Community at rè- KCT's Platform for Research and Exploration. In 2018, they worked as a Research Intern-Project Trainee at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Private Limited. From 2019 onwards, they have been working as an Embedded Systems-Staff Engineer, Embedded Systems-Engineer, and Hardware Engineering Trainee at LifeSignals Group. Additionally, they are also the Head-Embedded Systems and IOT Domain and Academic Management Lead- Embedded Systems and IOT Domain at iQube - Innovation Center.

Sharmila Shahul completed their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from St Mary's Matriculation Higher Secondary School between 2012 and 2013. sharmila then went on to complete their Higher secondary-12th Grade from St.Joseph's Girls Higher secondary school between 2014 and 2015, with a field of study in Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics. Finally, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Kumaraguru College of Technology between 2015 and 2019.
