Matt Smythe

Vice President Operations at LifeWorks Restaurant Group

Matt Smythe has extensive experience in the food service industry, starting with their role as Executive Sous Chef at Aramark from January 2002 to May 2005. Matt then progressed through various positions within the company, including Executive Chef from May 2005 to January 2008, Residential Director from January 2008 to January 2010, Director of Operations from January 2010 to July 2014, and finally Resident District Manager from August 2016 to December 2019. In December 2019, they joined LifeWorks Restaurant Group as Vice President of Operations.

Matt Smythe attended Johnson & Wales University from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Hospitality Administration/Management. Prior to that, they studied at Cape Fear Community College from 1999 to 2001, obtaining an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. In addition to their formal education, Matt Smythe holds a certification as a Serve Safe Instructor from the National Restaurant Association.
