Franco Barbeite

Franco Barbeite has over 20 years of experience in the field of software engineering, design, and production. From 1998 to 2000, they were a Writer and Visual Effects Designer for FX Channel and Blind Date. In 2001, they became a Film Director for Sirk Productions. From 2007 to 2008, they were the Art Director for Wing Latino and the Director of Production for Rethink Autism from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they founded memofire and worked as an Information Architect and User Experience Design Consultant from 2012 to 2013. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Lead Front End Engineer for TheLadders.com, where they architected Responsive, performant and maintainable User Interfaces and collaborated with designers to codify re-usable design frameworks. Most recently, they were a Senior Software Engineer for LiftForward, where they worked on Domain Driven Design, Full stack development with Ruby on Rails, Ember. js and RabbitMQ, and integrated APIs for fortune 500 enterprises.

Franco Barbeite's education history includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Film/TV from New York University between 1992 and 1994, and a Bachelor of Arts in Film from New York University between 1992 and 1994. Franco also attended Belén Jesuit Prep. Additionally, Franco has obtained certifications including HIGH5 Strengths Test: Believer, Coach, Optimist, Empathizer, Storyteller from HIGH5TEST in May 2019, and Try Ember and Try-SQL from Code School.
