Stefan Piontek

Stefan Piontek, Ph.D., currently serves as a Service & Market Development Engineer at Light Conversion, where responsibilities include maintaining and tuning state-of-the-art optical parametric amplifiers for research institutions. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship with the Petersen Research Group at Ruhr University Bochum, focusing on electrochemical interfaces and vibrational spectroscopies, as well as a postdoctoral researcher role in the Borguet Group at Temple University, leading a nonlinear optics team and contributing to multiple publications. Stefan also worked with Altos Photonics, managing installations and repairs of laser systems while expanding clientele through sales strategies. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Temple University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Montana State University-Bozeman.
