Naila Rahim

Naila Rahim has had extensive work experience in various executive positions. Naila is the founder and CEO of Light of Sakina since January 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director and member of the board at Mirath from July 2017. Naila also held the position of Executive Director Corporate Office and member of the board at Galana from November 2011 to December 2019. Earlier in their career, they worked at Galana Petroleum Limited, where they had roles such as Manager Trade Finance, Manager Corporate Excellence, and Trainee at the Trading Floor. In 2002, they founded Indian Ocean Commodities, a successful FMCG startup, where they served as the Managing Director until December 2007.

Naila Rahim completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at the University of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1997. Naila then pursued a Masters degree in Photojournalism from the International Center of Photography School, which they obtained between 1999 and 2000. Later on, they attended the London Business School from 2008 to 2010 to earn an Executive MBA in Business.
