Vanessa Thom

Vanessa Thom has a comprehensive work experience spanning various roles in the fashion and jewelry industry. Vanessa is currently the Head of Buying and Merchandising at Lightbox Jewelry since November 2021. Prior to that, Vanessa served as the Merchandising Manager for High Jewelry at Harry Winston from January 2020 to November 2021. Vanessa also worked as a Senior Analyst in Merchandising for High Jewelry at the same company from October 2018 to January 2020.

Before joining Harry Winston, Vanessa held multiple positions at Lord & Taylor. Vanessa was an Assistant Buyer for Fine Jewelry & Watches from June 2017 to September 2018, and an Assistant Buyer for Ladies Accessories from March 2016 to June 2017. Vanessa also served as an Assistant Planner for Special Occasion Dresses from August 2015 to March 2016, and as an Assistant Planner for Ladies Suits and Evening Separates from July 2014 to August 2015. Vanessa started their career at Lord & Taylor as a Merchandise Assistant for Dresses, Ladies Suits, and Evening Separates from November 2013 to July 2014.

Vanessa gained experience at Victoria's Secret Direct as a Merchant Assistant for Dresses from December 2012 to November 2013. Vanessa briefly worked as an E-Commerce Coordinator at Lord & Taylor from September 2012 to December 2012. Additionally, Vanessa had a production internship at Christopher Kane from May 2011 to July 2011.

Earlier in their career, Vanessa worked as a Sales and Marketing Assistant at Jane A. Gordon Jewelry from August 2007 to May 2011. Vanessa also had an Office Assistant position at the Department of Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Design Office at the University of Rhode Island from February 2009 to May 2009.

Vanessa Thom obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising & Design from the University of Rhode Island, attending from 2008 to 2012. In 2017, they participated in the Hudson Bay Company- Executive Merchandising Training Program at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Additionally, Vanessa obtained the Applied Jewelry Professional™ certification from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in January 2020.
