Julia Jensen-Huegel has extensive work experience, beginning in 2012 when they were a Toddler Teacher at Knowledge Beginnings. In this role, they were responsible for daily planning of toddler's daily schedule and curriculum to promote social, physical and intellectual growth. Julia also ensured child's security and attachment by providing them with prompt response to needs and completed timely and accurate documentation and communication with parents, peers, and center director. In 2014, Julia began working as an Intern at Community Harvest Project, Inc. where they designed a randomized controlled trial to assess the impact of a multi-component farm-based intervention on 4th-6th grade students' fruit and vegetable consumption. Julia also completed a full literature review as well as determined proper statistical tests to aide in study's success. In 2015, Julia joined Lighter and has since held the roles of VP of Product, Director of Customer Experience, Community Strategist, and Customer Success Associate.
Julia Jensen-Huegel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Bridgewater State University between 2002 and 2011. Julia then attended The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University between 2012 and 2015, where they earned a Master's Degree and a Master of Nutrition Science and Policy in Nutrition Sciences. Julia also holds a Citi Training in protection of human subjects from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative.
