Matthias Vraeghe

Matthias Vraeghe is an experienced data science professional currently serving as a Data Science Engineering Manager at Lighthouse since September 2021, having previously held roles including Data Science Team Lead, Product Solution Architect, Senior Data Scientist, and Data Scientist. Prior to this position, Matthias worked as a Data Scientist at Foodpairing® from September 2017 to September 2021. Matthias began a research career at Universiteit Gent from September 2012 to September 2017, focusing on particle physics and conducting research on the detection of astrophysical tau neutrinos as part of the IceCube Collaboration. Matthias holds a Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy, both obtained from Ghent University, and completed secondary education at Sint-Jozefsinstituut-college Torhout.
