Matt Licata

Matt Licata has an extensive work experience history in various roles. Matt began their career at Dogfish Head as a Brewer, where they operated brewery equipment and developed new SOPs during a large expansion project. Matt then moved on to Fort George Brewery, where they served as Head Brewer, supervising and training a team of brewers and implementing improvements that increased production capacity and reduced product losses. Matt later joined Portland Brewing Company as a Lead Quality Analyst, where they developed a relational database and built automations to improve data quality and reporting. Matt also implemented risk tracking capabilities that resulted in substantial cost savings. After that, Matt worked at Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania as a Salesforce Administrator and Database Specialist, where they maintained Salesforce data, enhanced org security, and optimized workflows. Currently, Matt is the Director of Business Intelligence Systems at Lighthouse Life Solutions, where they manage Salesforce and connected BI tools and applications. Matt has successfully implemented process maps, automations, and analytics strategies that have led to significant improvements in efficiency and cost reduction.

Matt Licata began their education at the University of Delaware, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science - Ag Biotech from 2000 to 2004. Matt then furthered their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science degree in Animal Science - Virology from 2004 to 2007. In 2011, they attended the American Brewers Guild, where they received a diploma in Brewing Science and Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Matt Licata has also obtained several certifications, including the Learn Python 3 Course, Learn HTML Course, Learn the Command Line Course from Codecademy, Trailhead Ranger from Trailhead by Salesforce, and Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) from Salesforce.
