Jiahao Zhan

Jiahao Zhan is a highly skilled photonics design engineer currently serving as a Sr. Photonics Design Engineer at Lightmatter since July 2023. Previously, Zhan worked as a Photonics Test Engineer at Luminous Computing, where expertise was demonstrated in developing an automated opto-electronic wafer probing system for 300mm silicon photonics wafers. Zhan held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from August 2016 to June 2022, engaging in research on integrated photonic devices and contributing to innovations in designing arrayed waveguide gratings. Zhan earned a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Maryland and holds a BS in Opto-Information Science and Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, along with experience as a visiting student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
