Shashank Gupta

Shashank Gupta is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in the field of silicon photonics. Since July 2018, Shashank has held several positions at Lightmatter, including Principal Engineer & Team Lead and Technical Lead & Manager. Previously, Shashank served in various roles at Stanford University as a PhD Candidate from September 2012 to June 2018 and gained practical experience as a Visiting Researcher at imec and a Summer Intern at Intel Corporation. Before starting a career in research, Shashank worked as a Process Engineer (Device Technologist) at Applied Materials. Shashank holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Technology in Microelectronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
