Atiya Abdurrahman

Atiya Abdurrahman has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Atiya is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at Lightology since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Human Resources Director at Marriott International from November 2018 to May 2022. In 2018, they also worked as the Regional HR Director at Schulte Hospitality Group from February to October. At the Center for Urban Families, Atiya served as the Director of Human Resources in 2017 and as the Human Resources Manager from 2013 to 2016. Before that, they worked as the Court Mediation Liaison at Community Mediation Baltimore from 2011 to 2013. Atiya started their career at Marriott International in 2003 as the At Your Service Manager and later worked as a Multi-Unit Payroll Specialist until 2008.

Atiya Abdurrahman completed their Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore from 1999 to 2003. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Negotiations & Conflict Management from the University of Baltimore, which they obtained from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their academic achievements, Atiya also obtained the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM in June 2015.
