Saam Maroofi

Saam Maroofi, PMP, has extensive experience in project management and engineering within the telecommunications industry. Currently, as a Project Manager at LightRiver Companies since July 2018, Saam manages the design and deployment of various network types, including DWDM/ROADM and MPLS, while directing project engineers and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets. Prior experience includes roles as an Optical Field Engineer, where Saam installed and commissioned DWDM networks across 35 states and led remediation efforts for network reliability. Saam co-founded and served as CEO of a startup focused on a product for parents of children with Type 1 Diabetes, demonstrating entrepreneurial skills and market validation through customer interviews. Saam also has earlier experience in teaching swimming and technical support for audio/video broadcasting. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
