Jorge Ibarra

Jorge Ibarra has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Jorge currently works as a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Lightship since September 2022. Prior to that, they were a Principal Motors Electrical Engineer at Milwaukee Tool from May 2021 to September 2022. From November 2018 to February 2021, they served as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Collins Aerospace. Jorge also worked as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Rockwell Collins from April 2017 to February 2021 and as a Design Engineer at B/E Aerospace from June 2013 to April 2017. Earlier in their career, Jorge worked at General Motors as a Senior Design Engineer, HVAC/PTC/Thermal Lead Performance Engineer, and HVAC Design Engineer, contributing to vehicle HVAC component design and system performance. Jorge began their professional journey as a Component and Harness Design Engineer at Delphi Packard Electric. Jorge's diverse background also includes experience as a Professor and President of the Basic Science Academy at the Institute of Technology and Higher Education of Sierra Norte Puebla.

Jorge Ibarra obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Orizaba, which they attended from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico y de Servicios No. 142, specializing in Construction Engineering from 1994 to 1997. Jorge also attended the Escuela Secundaria Técnica No. 4 from 1991 to 1994, where they studied Mechanical Drafting and Mechanical Drafting CAD/CADD as part of their middle school education.
