Luigi Petrigh-Dove has over 18 years of experience in the solar energy industry. In 2003, they began as a Designer and Builder at CREATIVE METAL, where they were responsible for construction of custom metalwork, 3D design, and fabrication of one-of-a-kind concepts in steel. In 2012, they became the Owner/Design Engineer/Project Manager at CREATIVE METAL--R&D/Engineering, where they engineered custom designs for solar (PV) dual-axis trackers and ensured thorough documentation for obtaining County Building Permits. In 2010, they joined Sunlink as a Senior Mechanical Reliability Test Engineer, where they tested innovative solar mounting technology. In 2013, they moved to SPG Solar as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they designed frames for solar modules. In 2015, they joined SolarCity as a Sr Mechanical Reliability Test Engineer and led the testing of two high-marketing-value mounting systems. In 2017, they became a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Alion Energy, Incorporated. In 2020, they joined Nengyao Solar as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, where they worked on single-axis PV Tracker Research & Development and designed product improvements. Currently, they are a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Lightship, where they balance product architecture, customer aesthetic and functional requirements, and development budget and timelines to ensure product success.

Luigi Petrigh-Dove obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Prior to that, they attended Loyola High School and Saint Joseph School, where they completed Junior High School. In March 2013, they obtained a Certified Welding Inspector from the American Welding Society.
