Tomer Barel

Tommy Barel is currently the co-founder and operating partner at Lightspark. Tomer has also served as the vice president of business development at 3DV Systems, the executive vice president global chief enterprise services officer at PayPal, and the VP, chief operating officer, Novi at Meta. Barel has a long history of working in various companies dedicated to tackling the shortage of tech talent in the Israeli industry. Tomer has also worked extensively in financial, credit, and fraud risk management and analytics.

Tomer Barel studied at Tel Aviv University, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and a Master's degree in Economics. Tomer then pursued an MBA at INSEAD.

Tomer Barel reports to David Marcus, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Joshua Kim - Head of Data Science, Christian Catalini - Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer, and Jessica Filipovich - Human Resources Director.
