James Portman

James Portman has held various positions in the field of technology since 1987. James started their career at PBN Projects as an Electronics Engineer in 1987. James then moved on to become the CEO of Coherent Laser Systems in 1990. In 1991, they were the CEO of Laser Measurement (Pty) Ltd. From 2001 to 2009, they were the CEO of K-Tek Corp (SA). In 2009, they took on the role of Technical Manager at ABB. Finally, from 2010 to present, they have been the Chief Technology Officer and CEO of LightWare Optoelectronics (Pty) Ltd.

James Portman obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
