Katie Romans

Teaching Artist at Lillstreet Art Center

Katie Romans is a multifaceted Teaching Artist with extensive experience in diverse educational settings since 2012. Currently serving at Columbia College's Center for Community Arts Partnerships and Hyde Park Art Center, Katie specializes in mixed media, painting, and drawing across various age groups, including grades 3-8. Additionally, Katie operates Flora Sublime Studios and Painted Pet Portraits, creating original abstract botanical art and pet portraits. Previous roles include teaching at Marwen, Lillstreet Art Center, and the Archdiocese of Chicago, contributing to arts integration in subjects like biology and chemistry. Katie holds a Master of Arts in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has a rich educational background in art and photojournalism.
