Levi Shand

Instructor at Lillstreet Art Center

Levi Shand is an accomplished photography educator and artist based in Chicago, currently serving as Adjunct Faculty at both Northern Illinois University and Illinois State University, where photography is taught. As a co-founder of Chicago Active Transit Arts, Levi promotes the intersection of art and community engagement through walking. Experience includes instructing at Lillstreet Art Center and previous roles such as Documentarian for ACRE Residency, Guest Curator for the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, and Portfolio Review Coordinator at the Museum of Contemporary Photography. Levi holds an MFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago and has also contributed to various artistic and educational initiatives since earning a Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature from Indiana University Bloomington.
