Robert Smith, LCSW, CADC, serves as a Stem Cell Transplant/Oncology Inpatient Social Worker at Northwestern Memorial Hospital since April 2012, managing the psychosocial and discharge needs of oncology patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and advocating for patient autonomy. Beyond hospital work, Robert has taught pottery at Lillstreet Art Center and volunteered at Center on Halsted, contributing to community events and fundraisers. Previous experiences include roles as a Behavioral Health Clinician at Resurrection Health Care and various internships focused on mental health and substance abuse treatment. Robert holds a Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, a Certificate in Addiction Studies from Harold Washington Community College, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism from Indiana University.
