Alex Lafaras

Alex Lafaras has an extensive work history in finance, starting as a Junior Accountant at VARVARESSOS S.A. in 1999. Alex then moved on to various roles at the company, including Cost Controller and Finance Manager. Alex served in the Hellenic Army before becoming involved in leadership positions at Alumil, where they were Global Controller, CEO in Bulgaria, and Executive Vice President and CFO in North America. Lafaras later worked as CFO at GGI | General Glass International before transitioning to the role of Executive Vice President and CFO at Transervice Logistics Inc. and Lily Transportation Corp.

Alex Lafaras completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia from 1996 to 2000. Alex then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Financial Applications at the same institute from 2000 to 2006. Later, Alex obtained an M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Sheffield from 2008 to 2011. Alex continued their education by earning an M.S. in Finance from Baruch College from 2015 to 2016. Lastly, in 2017, they attended the Executive Education Program in Negotiation & Leadership at Harvard Law School.
