Merrill Shugoll has extensive work experience in the field of market research. Merrill started their career as the President of Market Research Bureau, a subsidiary marketing research company to a major advertising agency in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Merrill also served as a Senior V.P. at Henry J., Kaufman & Associates, where they ran the marketing research department and conducted qualitative and quantitative research studies. Merrill founded and oversaw the agency's Information Center and was responsible for responding to Requests for Proposal from the Federal Government. In 1984, Shugoll founded Shugoll Research, where they currently serve as the President. In addition to their work in the private sector, they have been involved in industry organizations such as the Council of American Survey Research Organizations and the Marketing Research Association, where they held leadership positions.
Merrill Shugoll, PRC, earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in French Studies, Linguistics, and Anthropology from American University, from 1970 to 1974.
