Dennis Yu has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles. Dennis is currently serving as the Hardware Engineering Manager at Liminal Insights Inc., where they oversee hardware engineering operations. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Engineer and Hardware Engineer at the same company.

Dennis also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at FreeWire Technologies in 2017. In this role, they contributed to the mechanical engineering aspects of the company's projects.

In 2015, Dennis served as the Engine Subsystem Lead at Berkeley Formula Racing (Formula Society of Automotive Engineers). Dennis was responsible for overseeing engine subsystem design and analysis, testing, and validation. Dennis also played a key role in the reconstruction of the dynamometer electrical system for new engine development.

Dennis gained valuable experience as a Mechanical Design Intern at FreeWire Technologies in 2016, where they worked on various mechanical design projects. Dennis also worked briefly as an Engine Hardware and Development Intern specializing in Turbochargers at General Motors.

During their time as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2014, Dennis focused on implementing rapid prototyping techniques and designing electrical feedthroughs for scientific experiments.

Dennis has also been involved in tutoring and educational roles, such as serving as a Bridges to Baccalaureate Tutor at the National Institutes of Health in 2013 and as a Physics Lab Assistant at Peralta Community College System from 2013 to 2014.

Dennis's passion for engineering and leadership skills are evident from their role as the President/co-founder of the Peralta Engineering, Medicine, & Science Club from 2013 to 2014.

Dennis Yu has a diverse education history, spanning from high school to university and specialized technical training. Dennis obtained a Diploma in General Education from Alameda High School in 2008. Following that, Yu attended Wyotech from 2008 to 2010, where they earned a Certificate in Automotive Principles. In 2011, Yu enrolled in Chabot College for a year, with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, as part of their transfer degree. From 2012 to 2014, Yu pursued their major specific transfer requirements in Mechanical Engineering at Laney College. Yu's educational journey culminated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed between 2014 and 2017.
