Jeanne Sprague is a seasoned professional in parks and recreation, currently serving as the Parks and Recreation Director for the Lincoln City Parks & Recreation Department since November 2017. Previously, Jeanne held various positions including Recreation Services Supervisor, Coordinator, and Leader at Portland Parks & Recreation from June 1999 to October 2017, overseeing programs at Peninsula Park Community Center and Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center. Jeanne's career also includes serving as the REACH Program Coordinator at Greater St. Helens Parks & Recreation District and working as a Habitat Restoration Project Coordinator for Metro. Jeanne holds a Master's degree in Recreation, Parks & Tourism Management from West Virginia University and completed graduate studies at the National Recreation and Park Association Directors School and Revenue Development and Management School. Additionally, Jeanne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from James Madison University.

Our Parks and Recreation Dept was established in 1960, and contains 35 developed Parks (40 acres) and eight Open Spaces (365 acres). Our Community Center was built in 1981 and includes a full fitness center, sports gymnasium and aquatic center. Our Community Center sees over 200,000 facility visits per year, and we're open year-round.
