Genevieve Gonnigan

Genevieve Gonnigan, SHRM-CP, has extensive experience in human resources, starting as an HRIS Project Manager at Ameritech. Genevieve progressed to roles at Aon, Michael Reese Hospital, Implex, Weiss Memorial Hospital, Infor, ADP, and finally reached the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Double Good. Currently, they serve as the Director of Human Resources at Lincoln Park Zoo. Through their career, they have displayed expertise in HRIS, employee relations, recruitment, retention strategies, and HR system implementations.

Genevieve Gonnigan, SHRM-CP, has a well-rounded education history starting with a High School degree from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in 1994. Genevieve then went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Moraine Valley Community College in 2017. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2019. Genevieve furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Legal Studies in Human Resources/Employment Law from Pepperdine Law in 2023. In 1996, they also attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for Musical Theatre Performance. Additionally, they hold certifications such as SHRM-CP obtained in 2015 and Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certified (LSSWB) from the Management and Strategy Institute in 2019.
